Unprecedented Down Syndrome Study Seeks Participants

Awakening Angels | April 9, 2018  Awakening Angels provides vital funding to unprecedented research aimed at improving the lives of patients with Down syndrome right here in Cleveland, OH. A collaborative team of medical doctors and psychologists from Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic are working to determine if a medicine called Memantine can improve both memory and thinking in people with Down syndrome. The only study of it’s kind in the U.S., they’re currently seeking qualified candidates between the ages of 15 and 32.
